Destiny

Jeremiah 29:11 TPT

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Divine plan, show us how to discover and fulfil it in Jesus Name. Amen

God has plans for your life.

A future planned out in detail

Plans for good and not disaster

A marvelous destiny

To surround you with peace and prosperity

A beautiful future and hope

Praise the Lord!

What Is Destiny?

Destiny is God’s divine plan and intended purpose for your life, prepared before you were born, and fulfilled as you walk with him.

It includes who you are, what you are called to do, and the impact your life is meant to have.

God told the Prophet,

In Jeremiah 1:5 TPT

“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew you intimately

I had divine plans for you before I gave you life,

and I set you apart and chose you to be mine.

You are my prophetic gift to the nations.

In Galatians 1:15-16 NLT, Apostle Paul said,

Even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles.

Paul was destined to be an Apostle to the Gentiles

Ephesians 2:10 TPT

“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny

He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One.

Even before we were born, God planned our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it”!

  • You are God’s masterpiece
  • A recreated person
  • You are destined to fulfill good works.

 Halleluiah!

 Romans 8:30 TPT

Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess the perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his son!

Before God reveals what you will do, He works on who you will become.

Character always precedes calling.

How to Discover God’s Divine Plan

1. Surrender Your Life to God

Romans 10:9

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved

God reveals His will to surrendered hearts.

2. Renew Your Mind with God’s Word

Psalm 119:105“Your word is a lamp to my feet.”
God’s Word realigns desires and clarifies direction.

 3. Follow the Leading of the Holy Spirit

John 16:13

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.

He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.”

Galatians 5:25

“If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit.”
The Spirit guides step by step, not all at once.

 4. Identify Your Gifts and Calling To Fulfil Your Destiny

Romans 12″6-8

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is given, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”

Romans 11:29“The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.”
Gifts point toward purpose; calling flows from grace.

5. Seek Godly Counsel

Proverbs 11:14

Without wise leadership, a nation falls.

There is safety in having many advisers.

Proverbs 20:18

“Plans succeed through good counsel.
Don’t go to war without wise advice.”

God confirms direction through wise counsel.

 How To Fulfill Your Destiny

1. Be Faithful in Small Things

Luke 16:10

If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.

Matthew 25:21

“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!
Great destinies are built on consistent faithfulness.

 2. Be Ready To Overcome Obstacles

Romans 8:37

Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors.

 (1) No situation in life can defeat you or dilute God’s love. (2) know that divine love and power work for you to triumph over all things. (3) You share in the victory spoils of every enemy you face.

(4) You have conquered the Conqueror with merely a glance of your worshiping eyes.

 3. Wait for God’s Time

Habakkuk 2:3

” This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.

If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed

God’s timing protects destiny.

4. Activate Your Gifts

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

So if God has given you the ability to prophesy,

speak out with as much faith as God has given you

What Are The Dangers That Can Hinder The Fulfilment Of Your Destiny?

Hebrews 12:1

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”

Comparison

2 Corinthians 10:12

“Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!

Fear And Doubt

Apostle Paul Fulfiled His Destiny

2 Timothy 4:7–8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.

8And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Matthew 25:23

The greatest fulfillment of destiny is finishing well and hearing, “Well done.”

The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’
