Romans 1 verses 20-21
“Forever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So, they have no excuse for not knowing God.
21Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.”
What Are the Fingerprints of God?
The fingerprints of God are the undeniable proofs of His existence, power, and nature that are visible all around us, especially in creation and in the human conscience.
Just as a fingerprint uniquely identifies a person, God has left unmistakable evidence of Himself in the world He made.
10 Undeniable Fingerprints of God
1. God is Eternal, Powerful, and Uncreated.
Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Everything that begins to exist has a cause.
The universe had a beginning.
But the question is: what caused it?
Matter cannot create itself. Nothing can produce something.
This points to a self-existent, eternal Creator. In the dateless past,
God created the heavens and the earth
2. God is Intelligent, Precise, and Purposeful.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
The universe operates with astonishing precision:
Gravity is perfectly calibrated
The distance of the Earth from the Sun is exact
Physical constants are finely balanced
Even a slight variation would make life impossible.
This is not randomness; it is intentional design.
3. God is A Master Designer and Life-giver
Psalm 139Verses13-14
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.”
Inside every cell is DNA—a highly complex code that contains instructions for life.
Code always implies a coder.
No one looks at a book and assumes an explosion created it
DNA is far more complex than any book.
4. God is Holy, Just, And Righteous
Romans 2:14-15
“Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. 15They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.”
Your conscience and thought are like the traffic light!
It either accuses you or tells you when doing right.”
Who told you Murder is wrong, Justice is good, or Love is right
Where did this moral law come from?
If there is a moral law, there must be a Moral Lawgiver.
5. God is Eternal and Has Created Us for Himself.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
You don’t just exist. Why do you seek purpose?
Why do you long for meaning, fulfillment, and eternal life?
He has planted eternity in your heart.
Nothing in the physical world can satisfy your longing fully.
6. God is Sustainer, Orderly, And Faithful
Hebrews 1:3
“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen”
The universe runs on consistent laws such as mathematical order, predictable patterns, and scientific laws
Why is the universe understandable and orderly?
The universe is understandable and orderly because it reflects the mind of an ordered Creator.
7. God is Glorious, And Artistic
Psalm 19 verse1-2
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
2Day after day, they continue to speak; night after night, they make him known
Beauty is not necessary for survival, yet it is everywhere
Have you ever wondered why the sunsets, mountains, oceans
And the stars continue to speak?
He is creative and expressive.
8. God Has Revealed Himself Through Jesus Christ
Hebrews 1 verses 1-3
“Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now, in these final days, he has spoken to us through his son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son, he created the universe. 3The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command.”
Jesus is not a myth
He is a historical figure whose life changed the world through
His teachings, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection
John 14 verses 8-10
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
9Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? 10Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my father who lives in me does his work through me.”
Are you still in doubt?
9. God is Living, Active, And Transformative
2 Corinthians 5 verses16-17
“We have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time, we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
How differently we know him now!
Millions of people across generations have testified to radical life change, freedom from sin, addiction, pursue peace and purpose because of him.
This transformation is not psychological alone; it is spiritual.
Listen to this wonderful man called Paul, in Galatians 2 verse 20
“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
10. God is Revealing, Truthful, And Intentional.
2 Timothy 3 verses 16-17
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Did you know that the Bible has been historically preserved, prophetically accurate, spiritually powerful, and internally consistent?
It has been written over centuries, yet unified in message.
What A Tragedy!
God’s fingerprints are everywhere, yet you often ignore them.
Romans 1:21 reveals a sobering truth:
You know God, yet choose not to honor Him.
What Is the Danger of Ignoring God’s Fingerprints
Romans 1:21 continues:
“Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.”
When you ignore God, you become confused.
Your heart becomes darkened and replaced with deception
What Should Be Your Right Response to God’s Fingerprints
Romans 1:21 highlights two key responses God desires:
1. Glorify Him as God
Acknowledge His authority, power, and rightful place in your life.
2. Be Thankful
Gratitude is a powerful form of worship. It recognizes God as the source of all good things.
Thank you for listening to the message.”
